Halloween Fun at the Centre

If you have visited the Centre recently you my have noticed that we started hanging our decorations in preparation for Halloween. Many of the decorations this year have been made by the families at our after-school Craft Club. There is a variety of artwork on show from simple hand print spiders, to paper lanterns. The children have really enjoyed getting involved and we think their masterpieces look amazing!

The children from our on-site nursery also got involved, you can see their paper plate witches on display in our lobby area.

This year we are hosting a special 'Halloween Cinema Club', we will be showing the film 'Hocus Pocus' and everyone is invited to come along in fancy dress. There will be a prize for the best dressed and we are also running a colouring competition. Children from St James the Great Academy will be getting their colouring sheets sent home in the bookbags this week. If your child doesn't go to St James the Great you can download a copy of the sheet from our Facebook page or pick one up from the Centre next time you are in.

As well as the usual popcorn, we will be offering a variety of spooky treats at our Halloween Event, these include spooky slime (fruit jelly), zombie fingers (hotdogs) and some scary sweets! Entry is £2 per adult, children and members go free! If you look closely you will spot our photo booth, this was made back in the spring for the Royal Wedding. We have now upcycled it into a 'Creepy Castle' for the children to enjoy over Halloween!

We are also holding a Autumn Family Craft Day on Friday 26th October to keep the children busy in half-term. The theme will be Bonfires and Fireworks. Tickets must be booked in advance, £3 per child covers the cost of all the craft activities and a hotdog lunch. To book please call us on 01732 846314 or email office.eastmallingcentre@gmail.com.
