It's beginning to Look a lot like Christmas...!

December 5, 2018

With Christmas fast approaching we are getting very busy here in the East Malling Centre. The elves have been busy preparing for all the events and we are really looking forward to seeing some of you over the festive period. The decorations have been going up and the Centre is starting to look very sparkly! This year we have been given a beautiful Nativity Scene that was knitted and donated by a local lady, to add to our usual decorations. A huge thank you to the students from Five Acre Wood School who have been helping to put up trees, hang tinsel and wrap presents for us!

The Christmas events kick off with the Community Projects Christmas Fair on Saturday 8th December. There will be lots to see and do with craft stalls, Father Christmas, a Raffle, Tombola and children's activities! Children will also be able to post a letter to Father Christmas in our special Post Box!

After school on Thurday afternoons our Family Craft Club have been creating beautiful Christmas decorations, cards and crafts. The club will be running until 13th December and new members are always welcome!

On Thursday 13th December our Toddler Group 'Little Monkeys' will be hosting a party for pre-school children.  As well as the usual ball pit and toys, they will be offering party food and a gift from Santa. Tickets costs £3.50 and must be purchased in advance.

On Saturday 15th December our Community Cinema Club will be showing 'The Polar Express'. Doors open at 2pm and tickets cost just £2 for adults and kids go free! Father Christmas will be in attendance and festive snacks will be available to buy. We will also be hosting a colouring competition for the children, with a winner picked on the day.

Finally, our Community Larder will be open on Friday 21st December for anyone in need of some extra food to get them through the holidays. All food is supplied on a 'Take what you need, pay what you can' basis and the larder is open to everyone in the community.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone, we look forward to seeing you all in 2019! x x x
