The Centre Cafe
The Cafe is a bright and lively place where there is always something going on. As a Charity we aim to cater for the whole community and keep prices as low as we can and offer excellent value for money.

On a Tuesday the Cafe is taken over by the Community Supermarket - details of which are here.

We hold Lunch Clubs on three Thursdays a month where residents can enjoy a three-course meal for only £8.50 - and that includes tea or coffee. For smaller appetites we offer a two-course meal for £7.00. Our imaginative menus are freshly cooked and delicious. Booking is essential for the Lunch Clubs - call 07463 222733 or email cafe.eastmallingcentre@gmail.com for menus and to book.

We hold a Memory Cafe on the 2nd Thursday of every month from 2pm until 4pm. This friendly drop in is for people who have memory loss or who are impacted by memory loss (typically family members and carers). Free cake, hot drinks and a warm welcome are on offer.

We run two After School clubs for children and their parents. On Mondays, families can work together on craft activities and on Fridays there are board games. These are free and children are offered a snack and drink.

We are pleased to be working with Grow 19 - a specialist college for young adults with learning disabilities. On Wednesdays they take over the cafe and offer a range of delicious cakes, snacks and meals produced by the learners. All are welcome and no need to book.

The Cafe is a hive of activity on Friday mornings with our Involve Community Coffee Morning/Brunch. Bacon butties, cakes and hot drinks are provided free of charge to residents who are over 55 or who have complex health needs. With the Healthy Walking Group, Tea and Tots for the little ones the Cafe really buzzes. Just drop in any time from 10am - noon.

The Centre Cafe offers training and volunteering opportunities for local residents. We pay for our volunteers to take their Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, and cover costs of DBS checks, as well as training people in the latest information about Food Allergens.
